VIEW ARTICLE Correct Terminology Usage in Corn Processing S. Eckhoff. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL, U.S.A. Cereal Foods World 55(3):144-147. Use of correct terminology avoids miscommunication and wasted time. This article attempts to clarify correct definitions and terminology for the corn processing industries. Suggestions were made on appropriate terminology where no clear alternative exists. Some long-standing malapropisms are going to be difficult to change but greater clarity is the reward for persevering in using correct terms.
