History of the Section
The Downunder Section was formed to represent the Cereals & Grains Association membership in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and nearby Pacific Islands. It provides a link for cereal scientists based in the region to the broader international communities of the Association.
The goals of the section are to
- Provide a forum for discussion of regional cereal science issues
- Facilitate and encourage involvement and access for the section members to the global activities of AACCI International
- Organize focused workshops and symposia relevant to local interests
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with other organizations representing grain sciences and other food sciences, and develop programs in collaboration with them when interests overlap.
Membership of the section can be combined with a number of different membership options. For information on how to become a section member ONLY, please contact Larisa Lara Cato on how to join.
