Structure of the Rice Grain Shown by Scanning Electron Microscopy.

Detailed structures of the endosperm, aleurone, germ, and hull of paddy and parboiled rice were studied with a scanning electron microscope. Similarities and differences between the ultrastructure of the rice grain and other cereal grains are discussed.
